The project

“Fi.Le – Filiera Legale” is a project co-financed by the Italian National Operative Plan on Legality 2014-2020 under the European Regional Development Fund, which aims to protect the agricultural production system and to promote its legality.

This project stems from the memorandum of understanding among BMTI, the Italian Ministry of Domestic Affairs – which manages the Italian National Operative Plan on Legality 2014-2020 – and the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, on December 7th 2018.

It provides for an experimental application in the industrial tomato supply chain in the area of Foggia.

The initiative, realized thanks to a partnership representing the players of the industrial tomato supply chain, has the following goals:

  • Create and promote the use of an online platform in order to make the management of demand and supply of work and related logistics in the industrial tomato supply chain more dynamic, safe and transparent.
This platform will allow the companies in the field to require the needed workforce to their activity and will allow workers to have a channel where searching for a legal job.
  • Realize an innovative survey model to support institutions in the activities of knowledge of the social, economic and production dynamics of the territory.
